Copp Island


Copp Island (50˚03'00" 127˚11'00" Entrance to Dixie Cove, E side of Hohoae I, Kyuquot Sd, NW side of Vancouver I). William Harvey Copp (1842–1928), from NB, was active in the pelagic sealing industry in the late 19th century. He was one of the few Vancouver-based sealers (most were from Victoria), arriving in that city in 1887.
