Cordova Bay


Cordova Bay (48˚30'00" 123˚20'00" E side of Saanich Peninsula, just N of Victoria), Cordova Channel (48˚36'00" 123˚22'00" Between Saanich Peninsula and James I), Cordova Spit (48˚36'00" 123˚22'00" NE side of Saanichton Bay, Cordova Channel). Puerto de Cordova was the original name given to Esquimalt Hbr by Spanish naval officer Manuel Quimper in 1790 to honour the viceroy of Mexico, Antonio Maria Villacis y Cordova.
