Crescent Inlet


Crescent Inlet (52˚46'00" 131˚52'00" Head of Darwin Sd, Selwyn Inlet, NW side of Moresby I, QCI), Crescent Point (52˚44'00" 131˚48'00" S entrance to Crescent Inlet). Named in 1878 by George M Dawson, of the Geological Survey of Canada, after the shape of the inlet. Numerous copper claims were filed in the area in the early 1900s. Crescent Point was formerly known as Rock Point.
