Crosson Point


Crosson Point (52˚52'00" 128˚10'00" SW side of Mussel Inlet, Matheson Channel, N of Bella Bella). Leading Coder Abraham Bullard Crosson, from Vancouver, was serving with the RCNVR aboard the minesweeper Guysborough when he was killed in action Mar 18, 1945, aged 31. Guysborough was escorting a convoy in the English Channel off Ushant when it was torpedoed and sunk by a U-boat, with the loss of 51 lives. Crosson’s name is inscribed on the Halifax Memorial.
