Cultus Sound (51˚54'00" 128˚13'00" W side of Hunter I, SW of Bella Bella). Cultus (or kultus) is a Chinook jargon word for “worthless” or “good for nothing.” In its broadest sense it simply means “bad.” (Chinook was a W coast lingua franca used by First Nation people and early traders and settlers.)
