Cyril Rock (49˚48'21" 124˚36'20" Off N end of Texada I, Str of Georgia). This feature is possibly named after Lt Col Cyril Houlton Neroutsos, DSO (1904–90), who commanded the Calgary Regiment in WWII. As a child he travelled on occasion with his father, Capt Cyril Demetrius Neroutsos (see Neroutsos Inlet), who became gen manager of the CPR’s BC Coast Steamship Service. In 1913, young Cyril was told that the rock had been named for him. He later married Edythe Winter and moved to Montreal....
