Dall Rocks


Dall Rocks (52˚13'00" 128˚09'00" Off N side of Campbell I, Seaforth Channel, N of Bella Bella). Capt Christopher C Dall ran the US sidewheel steamship John L Stevens onto these rocks in Oct 1867 while returning to the US from Alaska. He had been delivering troops and supplies to Sitka on the occasion of the US takeover of Alaska after its purchase from Russia.
