Dallain Point

Dallain Point (52˚39'00" 128˚54'00" SW side of Princess Royal I, between Laredo Channel and Laredo Inlet). Capt Alphonsus John Dallain (1864–1942) was born in England and in 1895 came to Canada, where he married Helen Marion Downey (1876–1959) in 1902 at Victoria. He is identified as a clerk on the 1898 BC voters list, and as a clerk and master mariner in the 1901 census. He also served with the BC Battalion of Garrison Artillery.
