Davidson Bay


Davidson Bay (48˚49'06" 123˚17'54" N end of N Pender I, Gulf Is). Andrew Angus Davidson (1849–1928) was originally from Scotland and had lived for many years in Peru. He arrived on N Pender I in 1892, bought 120 ha at this bay (also known as Clam Bay) from an earlier settler, Washington Grimmer, and built a home for his wife, Margaret (1858–1944), and four children. Sons Andrew and Thomas farmed on Pender and served as early postmasters, but it appears that their father worked in Victoria...
