Deans Point (54˚22'00" 130˚42'15" SE end of Melville I, W of Prince Rupert). James Deans (1827–1905), born in Scotland, came to Victoria in 1853 aboard the Norman Morison and worked as a labourer on the HBC’s Craigflower Farm.
