Discovery Islands

Discovery Islands (N of Campbell R, NW of Str of Georgia). This name, while not official, is now widely used to describe the group of islands lying between the Str of Georgia and Johnstone Str. Quadra, Cortes, E and W Redonda, Read, Maurelle, Stuart, Sonora and E Thurlow are generally considered to be the main Discovery Is, but there is no consensus on the precise extent of the archipelago.
