Doriston (49˚43'00" 123˚53'00" W side of Sechelt Inlet, NW of Sechelt and Vancouver). Doris Lloyd (1903–76) was the daughter of Samuel Lloyd, a British cabinetmaker who settled in this fishing and logging hamlet about 1913 and served as postmaster, 1918–23. Doris, who married Clifford Orestes Hammond (1895–1938) in 1923, was the oldest girl in the village when the post office was applied for, and the settlement was named after her.
