Douglas Island (49˚18'40" 124˚09'11" SW side of Ballenas Channel, E of Dorcas Point, Str of Georgia). Amelia Connolly (1812–90) was born at Ft Assiniboine, NW of Edmonton. Her father was William Connolly, an NWC fur trader, and her mother a Cree woman, Miyo Nipiy.
