Drummond Bay

Drummond Bay (53˚05'01" 129˚06'06" W side of Princess Royal I, on Whale Channel). James Drummond (b about 1754), from Edinburgh, was an able seaman on HMS Discovery during Capt George Vancouver’s historic
1791–95 voyages to the PNW. The hydrographic service had originally submitted the name Ryan Bay for this feature, after a survey assistant on CGS William J Stewart, but that suggestion was rejected and Drummond Bay substituted in 1950.
