Duffy Rock (52˚37'52" 128˚49'05" Off entrance to Trahey Inlet, S end of Princess Royal I). James Duffy was a cpl in the Columbia detachment of Royal Engineers, which served in BC 1858–63. Trained as a surveyor, he arrived with the advance party and was stationed near Ft Langley at Derby, the first capital of the mainland colony of BC, until the main body of men arrived.
