Duval Rock

Duval Rock (53˚03'23" 131˚53'22" Off N shore of Cumshewa Inlet, QCI). Queen Charlotte City pioneer Archibald Arthur Duval (1878–1966) was a handlogger and fisherman. Born in Ont, he worked as a carpenter in Revelstoke, Nelson and Vernon before reaching Haida Gwaii in 1908 and helping open up John McLellan’s mining claims at Mitchell Inlet.
