Ecstall Island


Ecstall Island (54˚09'30" 129˚57'19" At the mouth of the Ecstall R, SE of Prince Rupert), Ecstall River (Flows NW into the Skeena R near its mouth). Capt John Walbran reported that ecstall was a Tsimshian word for tributary—literally, “something from the side”—and referred to the Ecstall R, which enters the Skeena near its mouth.
