Edwin Reef (49˚13'00" 126˚05'00" SE of Bartlett I, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I). Possibly named after the US barque Edwin, under Capt Hughes, which was wrecked in Hesquiat Hbr in Dec 1874. The vessel was headed from Puget Sd to Australia when its cargo shifted and it drifted out of control and ran aground. Four people died in the incident, including the capt’s wife and children.
