English Bay

English Bay (49˚17'00" 123˚10'00" S side of Burrard Inlet, W of False Ck, Vancouver), English Bay Beach (49˚17'00" 123˚09'00" E side of English Bay). These features and nearby Spanish Bank (qv) pay homage to the 1792 meeting off Point Grey of British explorer Capt George Vancouver and his Spanish counterparts Dionisio Alcalá-Galiano and Cayetano Valdés.
