English Bluff (49˚01'00" 123˚05'22" N end of Tsawwassen Beach, S of Vancouver). The bluff got its name because it fell on the British side of the 49th parallel, as determined by the boundary commission of 1858–62. Tsawwassen First Nation members know the site as S’tlalep.
