Ewen Slough (49˚06'00" 123˚10'00" Mouth of the Fraser R, SE of Reifel I). Alexander Ewen (1832–1907), born at Aberdeen, Scotland, was one of BC’s earliest cannery owners. He had managed fishing stations on the Scottish coast and came to BC in 1864 to run a salmon-curing business on the Fraser R.
