Fairbairn Shoals

Fairbairn Shoals (53˚01'00" 131˚41'00" Entrance to Cumshewa Inlet, NE Moresby I, QCI). William Howard Fairbairn (1881–1958) was a fisheries protection officer in Haida Gwaii for many years and named several features on the W coast of the QCI. He married Minnie Evelyn Graham (1885–1965) at Comox in 1907 and arrived in the Charlottes in 1911 as a handlogger. Together with partner and brother-in-law Clarence Johnston, he owned and operated the tugboats Aimee and Edwin. D
