Fanny Bay (49˚30'25" 124˚48'55" E side of Vancouver I, opposite Denman I). Various sources for this name have been proposed over the years, but none have been confirmed. It first appears on an 1862 Admiralty chart that was based on surveys conducted by Capt George Richards in 1860. Today the bay is the site of a small waterfront community, known for its oyster processing and the heritage Fanny Bay Inn. E
