Fisher Channel


Fisher Channel (52˚08'00" 127˚53'00" E of Hunter I, Denny I and Bella Bella, W of King I). Named in 1793 by Capt George Vancouver after his “much respected friend” Rev John Fisher (1748–1825). At that time, Fisher was vicar of Stowey and a teacher of Prince Edward Augustus, Queen Victoria’s father.
