Garcin Rocks

Garcin Rocks (52˚13'00" 130˚58'00" Off Benjamin Point, SE tip of Moresby I, QCI). Alpheus Dominic R “Alfus” Garcin (1879–1955), from Nfld, was the long-time gen manager of Consolidated Whaling Corp until 1947. He married May Dobinson (1883–1958) at Victoria in 1915. Consolidated purchased both QCI whaling stations, at Rose Hbr and Naden Hbr, in 1918. Formerly known as Danger Rks, the Garcins are an active sea-lion colony.
