George Fraser Islands (48˚54'00" 125˚31'00" S of mouth of Ucluelet Inlet, W side of Vancouver I). George Fraser (1854–1944) came to Canada from Scotland in 1883 and arrived at Victoria in 1888. An experienced horticulturist, he played a key role in the establishment of Beacon Hill Park and also owned a farm in the Mt Tolmie area.
