Gogit Passage

Gogit Passage (52˚40'00" 131˚27'00" Between E side of Lyell I and Tar Is, QCI), Gogit Point (52˚41'00" 131˚26'00" E side of Lyell I). A gogit is a mythical Haida creature that harbours evil intentions and is often bent on injuring humans. The Haida also use this word to refer to a mad person or one afflicted with a serious physical deformity. It is sometimes encountered as a synonym for sasquatch or Bigfoot.
