Goolden Islands

Goolden Islands (51˚54'00" 128˚13'00" SE of McNaughton Group, Cultus Sd, Queens Sd). Capt Massy Goolden (1887–1971) was an RN officer who served for many years in Canada at the Halifax shore base, HMCS Stadacona, and retired in 1927. He re-enlisted with the RCN in WWII and was appointed CO of Stadacona on a temporary basis, then CO of the Sydney, NS, shore base, HMCS Protector, in 1940–42.
