Gosset Bay

Gosset Bay (53˚12'00" 132˚15'00" Between Anthracite Point and Josette Point, Skidegate Inlet, QCI). Capt William Driscoll Gosset (1822–99), born at London, graduated from the Royal Military Academy, Woolwich, as an engineer and became involved with survey projects in the UK and overseas. He married Helen Dorothea Gosset (1830–79), his cousin, in 1852, and in the mid-1850s was appointed surveyor gen of Ceylon (now Sri Lanka).
