Governor Rock (48˚55'00" 123˚30'00" Trincomali Channel, E of Saltspring I, Gulf Is). HMS Plumper, under Capt George Richards, was peacefully anchored at Nanaimo in 1859 when an urgent summons arrived from Gov James Douglas ordering him to Victoria.
