Gowgaia Bay (52˚25'00" 131˚35'00" W side of Moresby I, QCI), Gowgaia Point (52˚24'00" 131˚36'00" S entrance to Gowgaia Bay). This inlet was formerly known by the much-duplicated name Big Bay. Gowgaia, the Haida word for inlet, was adopted in 1947. There were no fewer than five Haida village sites on this body of water, with a sixth just S of the entrance.
