Grant Anchorage

Grant Anchorage (52˚29'00" 128˚46'00" W entrance to Higgins Passage, Laredo Sd). Capt John Marshall Grant (1822–1902) was executive officer of the Columbia detachment of Royal Engineers, which served in BC 1858–63. He arrived at Esquimalt with his family in the Arato and, after a brief stop near Ft Langley, settled at New Westminster.
