Grant Bluff


Grant Bluff (49˚45'00" 124˚34'00" S side of Sturt Bay, NE Texada I, Str of Georgia). Presumably named after Alexander Grant (1847–1929), manager of the rich Marble Bay Mine at Van Anda for many years. The mine produced copper, gold and silver, and was purchased by the Tacoma Steel Co in 1902 from John Palmer, the original developer. It ceased operating in 1919.
