Grimmer Bay

Grimmer Bay (48˚49'00" 123˚19'00" W side of N Pender I, Gulf Is). After emigrating with his family from England to Australia, Washington Grimmer (1851–1930) travelled to Victoria in 1877 and sought gold in the Cariboo. In 1882 he bought the 600-ha N Pender I property of his brother Oliver Grimmer and put his Australian experience to good use by raising sheep.
