Hamley Point (48˚36'00" 123˚16'00" E side of Sidney I, N of Victoria, Gulf Is). Wymond Thomas Ogilvy Hamley (1821–1907), born in Cornwall, came to New Westminster in 1859 as collector of customs for the colony of BC. The son of a British adm, he had served in the RN and the British civil service before receiving his post.
