Hankin Reefs (54˚33'34" 130˚26'47" NW end of Tsimpsean Peninsula, N of Prince Rupert). Thomas Hankin (1843–85), born in Hertfordshire, was the younger brother of Philip Hankin (see Hankin Cove). He came to BC in 1858, and in about 1870, after working for the HBC and just before marrying Margaret Macaulay (c 1853–1910), he entered into a mercantile partnership with Robert Cunningham (see Cunningham Passage), who had briefly managed the HBC’s Ft Simpson post.
