Harvey Islands (52˚31'00" 129˚19'00" W of Aristazabal I, Hecate Str). 2nd Cpl William Harvey was a member of the Columbia detachment of Royal Engineers, which served in BC 1858–63. He was born at Putney, near London, and saw action as a sapper in the Crimean War. Harvey arrived in BC in Apr 1859 with the main contingent aboard the Thames City and probably brought his family with him.
