Helen Point (48˚51'00" 123˚21'00" NW tip of Mayne I, Gulf Is). Helen “Nelly” Holmes (1838–1914), born in Lancashire, came to Victoria in 1858. In 1860 she married HBC chief trader Joseph William McKay (1829–1900, see McKay Channel) and began raising a large family. Nelly Point on Princess Royal I is also named for her.
