Henry Point


Henry Point (49˚38'00" 124˚03'00" N entrance to Pender Hbr, Str of Georgia, NW of Vancouver). According to historian Athelstan Harvey, there are two possible sources for this name: Dr James Henry, who served on the Pacific Station as surgeon of HMS Mutine in 1860; or Richard P Henry, Royal Marines capt aboard HMS Ganges, on the Pacific Station in 1857–60.
