Hoik Island

Hoik Island (49˚14'00" 124˚50'00" Head of Alberni Inlet, NE of Barkley Sd, S-central Vancouver I). From a Nuu-chah-nulth First Nation word meaning “willow grouse.” Formerly known as Sheep I and also known locally as Deadman I. See Hohm Island.
