Holland Point (48˚24'39" 123˚22'42" Between Ogden Point and Finlayson Point, S side of Victoria). Believed to be named after George Holland, an early HBC employee, who joined the company in London, England, and came to N America in the mid-1830s as a seaman aboard the Beaver. In 1839 he was a schoolteacher at Ft Vancouver on the Columbia R, and four years later became postmaster at Ft Langley.
