Holti Point


Holti Point (52˚11'00" 127˚31'00" W side of Burke Channel, E of Bella Bella). Believed to have been named for one of the original Norwegian settlers to colonize the Bella Coola valley in 1894. This was probably J R Holte or Holt, whose name appears on several lists of colonists, and who was paid $2 a day in 1898 for working on the road through the valley.
