Horda Shoals (48˚50'00" 123˚25'00" W of Prevost I, Gulf Is). The 1,709-tonne Norwegian steamship Horda, under Capt E H Svendsen, struck this hazard in 1901 while carrying a cargo of coal from Ladysmith. The feature was, in the quaint terminology of mariner and historian Capt John Walbran, “hitherto unknown.”
