Hughes Point

Hughes Point (53˚36'00" 132˚58'00" S entrance to Port Chanal, W side of Graham I, QCI). Harry Stewart Hughes (1885–1963), born at Digby, NS, was a well-known master mariner on the BC coast. He was the oldest son of William Hughes (see Hughes Passage) and lived at Brentwood Bay; in 1920 he married Margaret Gertrude Thompson (1886–1958) at Saanich.
