Imrie Island


Imrie Island (48˚42'00" 123˚20'00" W side of Prevost Passage, SW of Moresby I, Gulf Is). Peter Imrie (1834–1915) and his Saanich First Nation wife, Anne (1837–1912), were Saanich pioneers. Peter came to BC from Ont in 1862 and tried his hand searching for gold in the Cariboo, Cassiar and Leech R districts.
