Indian Bay


Indian Bay (49˚07'00" 125˚44'00" SE end of Tofino Inlet, Clayoquot Sd, W side of Vancouver I), Indian Island (49˚07'00" 125˚46'00" Just W of Indian Bay). Named for K’anuwis, a Tla-o-qui-aht First Nation reserve and former camping site on the SE end of Indian I. K’anuwis can be translated from the Nuu-chah-nulth language as “passing through” or “camping over.”
