Indian Islands

Indian Islands (50˚33'00" 126˚11'00" NE of Hull I, Havannah Channel, opposite E Cracroft I, N of Johnstone Str). Likely named for their proximity to the nearby Etsekin (or I’tsikan) reserve, now abandoned but once the main village site of the Ma’amtagila (or Matilpi) people, who are members of the Kwakwaka’wakw First Nation.
