Jackobson Point

Jackobson Point (50˚08'00" 127˚41'00" W entrance to Nasparti Inlet, Checleset Bay, NW side of Vancouver I). Capt Victor Jackobson (b 1860) came to the BC coast from Europe in 1880. He found work with the Victoria-based sealing fleet and became skipper of several vessels including the schooner Minnie, named for his wife, Minnie McLean (b 1872, in Ont), whom he married at Victoria in 1888.
