Jorey Point

Jorey Point (54˚05'00" 132˚34'00" W side of Virago Sd, N side of Graham I, QCI). Mary Liscombe Jorey 
(d 1904) was the fiancée of George Inskip, master of HMS Virago, who surveyed this area in 1853. He and Mary were married in 1855. She was from a nautical family, her father, Edward Jorey, having served in the RN as a midshipman before becoming an Admiralty clerk. Inskip also named Mary Point, just to the N, after his bride-to-be. See also Inskip Channel. W
