Joseph Island

Joseph Island (53˚09'00" 130˚02'00" In Hecate Str, off SW end of Banks I). This feature, formerly known as Shrub I, was renamed in 1946 because of duplication. It commemorates the famous British naturalist Joseph Banks. See Banks I. Nearby Joseph Hill (53˚19'54" 129˚54'05" SE side of Banks I), formerly called Bare Hill, is also named for him.
